Disney World Vacation Car Rental Tips - Should I rent a car while visiting Disney World or Orlando Florida?
There are many things to consider when planning your Walt Disney World vacation. Among them is the decision to rent a car while visiting Disney World.
The first thing to consider is, do you really need a car while on your vacation?
If You Are staying at a Disney World Resort, aren't on a tight budget, and plan on visiting exclusively Disney attractions, then you do not need a car. Disney's transportation is excellent and efficient. You will be totally immersed in Disney your entire stay. If you are staying at a Disney Resort, they will pick you up at the Orlando airport for no extra charge.
If you are staying off property, you need to definitely consider renting a car. We have found the off site transportation companies to be inefficient and time consuming. The advantages to renting a car are many. You Can easily visit non-Disney attractions and events, save money by buying food and souvenirs at the supermarkets, not have to rely on Disney's transportation to get you back to your hotel.
Driving around Disney is relatively easy. The roads are in Excellent Condition and very well marked to all the major attractions. You may experience some traffic on the highways, your best bet is to just relax and go with the flow. Make sure to have a map and consult it prior to leaving for a particular destination. Do not worry if you pass your destination, get off at the following exit and 'back track'.
Orlando has the wordl's largest selection of rental car agencies. Do not just book with the first car rental agency you find. A little research can save you hundreds of dollars. Prior to booking consider what type of vehicle your party will require. Often it is cheaper to rent a van or SUV versus renting two small cars. Do not overlook conveniences that you may have to pay additional for. Items such as maps, car seats, and GPS units are all available for a small fee. You should also discuss pick up and drop off arrangement prior to renting a car.
I-4 is the most direct route into Walt Disney World. Depending on Where You are traveling from, the Florida Turnpike can be used as well. This is especially true when you are arriving from Miami or anywhere south. If you are arriving from a cruise at Port Canaveral, Florida SR528 links Canaveral with I-4, with Orlando International Airport and the Turnpike on the same route.
Regardless of your car rental needs, the most important thing to remember while on a Disney World vacation is to relax and have a good time.

Although i've already watched it dubbed, i would like to see how much Disney try to cut out and edit! Bit worried about the type of new Disney fan-base it might get, too.
Does anyone know when its to be aired in the UK, i miss forcing my husband to watch it with me now they've stopped airing on Jetix, muhahaha!!
